On behalf of our members, the Committee would like to express our condolences to the family and friends of Henry McDonald.

 

A life-long passionate supporter of Everton (and Cliftonville), Henry (from Belfast) passed away after recent illness on Sunday 19th February, at the age of just 57.

 

Henry was the Ireland correspondent for the Guardian and Observer over a 23-year span before becoming the Belfast News Letter’s political editor in 2022.

 

An ESCNI member of many years, he will be much missed by his girlfriend, Charlotte, his three children (Lauren, Ellen and Patrick) and his sister, Cathy and the wider family circle; together with his travelling companions to Goodison.

With Sympathy... Robert 'Big Bad Jeff' Quigg

Robert 'Big Bad Jeff' Quigg

On behalf of our members, the Committee would like to express our condolences to the family and friends of Robert Quigg.

 

Robert (of Saintfield, County Down) passed away (after a long illness) on Thursday 26th January, at the age of just 60.

 

A member of many years, he was better known within ESCNI as Big Bad Jeff. He will be much missed by his wife, Andrea, and sister, Liz, and the wider family circle; together with his travelling companions to Goodison.

 

Robert's funeral will be held at Roselawn Crematorium at 7.45am on Saturday, 4th February... the Official Death Notice.

With Sympathy... Ian Hamilton

Ian Hamilton

On behalf of our members, the Committee would like to express our condolences to the family and friends of Ian Hamilton. Ian (of Coagh, County Tyrone) passed away on Friday, 29th July, at the age of 81.

 

An ESCNI member of many years, he regularly  attended Everton matches and will be much missed by his wife Margaret, his son, and fellow ESCNI member, Mark (and his partner, Rema) and his daughter Claira (and her partner Robert); together with his other travelling companions to Goodison.

 

The funeral will be held on Sunday 31st; leaving 7 Windsor Terrace, Coagh at 2.30pm for a subsequent 3pm service at St Luke's Parish Church, Tamlaght, Coagh. If anyone would care to wear blue, it will be much appreciated.

On behalf of our members, the Committee would like to express our condolences to the family and friends of David Lavery.

 

David (of Aghagallon, County Armagh) passed away on Saturday, 19th February, at the age of just 51.

 

An ESCNI member of many years, David will be much missed by his wife, Denise, and his daughters Aisling and Orla; together with his travelling companions to Goodison.

With Sympathy... Pat McGrath

Pat McGrath

On behalf of our members, the Committee would like to express our condolences to the family and friends of Pat McGrath.

 

Paddy passed away earlier this morning (Saturday, 5th February), at the age of 70.

 

An original ESCLA member, he then returned home from London to his native Belfast in the 80s and for the next twenty years hardly missed a match, home or away. He was then an ESCNI stalwart until he moved from Belfast to Liverpool about twelve years ago, in order to be closer to his beloved club.

 

He will be badly missed by his ESCNI friends (in particular Stevie and Martin Burns, Liam Campbell, Neil Mulhern, David Firth, Mark Hamilton, Norman Porter and Brian McCaughey).

 

Pat's funeral will be held at 10.40am on Wednesday 9th March in Anfield Crematorium, Liverpool.

With Sympathy... Joe Ervine

On behalf of our members, the Committee would like to express our condolences to the family and friends of Joe Ervine (from Rathfriland).

 

Joe will be particularly missed by Tamla (his wife) and Derrick (his fellow club member and brother). Sadly, Joe was only 45.

 

Joe is being buried tomorrow (Wednesday) with his Everton shirt on. House and funeral strictly private ... full funeral details.

Colm Rankin

On behalf of our members, the Committee would like to express our condolences to the family and friends of Colm Rankin.

 

Colm will be badly missed by his friend (and ESCNI travelling companion) John Hutchman. Sadly, Colm was only 28.

 

His funeral will be from the family home, 87 Slievemore Park, Derry on Wednesday at 11.30am for 12 noon. Requiem mass will be held in St. Joseph's Church, Galliagh; and interment will be afterwards in the City cemetery ... full funeral details.

With Sympathy... Stephen McAteer

Stephen McAteer

On behalf of our members, the Committee would like to express our condolences to the family (Diane, Evan and Sam) and friends of Stephen McAteer.

 

Stephen was a regular traveler to Goodison and will be badly missed by his friend (and fellow ESCNI travelling companion) Davy Phillips. Sadly, Stephen was only 43.

 

His funeral will be held in the Carrickfergus Congregational Church on Friday at 11am ... directions.
